Dunnock

Note the brown back and grey head.

This is the original little brown job - it's name, dunnock, is actually Old English for 'little brown'. Accentor is Latin for 'singing together' how is that a better name than dunnock - little brown bird?

Well you do sometimes hear

Well you do sometimes hear one singing with another and they do have fine voices, but I always knew them as Hedge Sparrows which seems as good a name as any...
