They are very impressive

They are very impressive predators but highly synanthropic. So whilst they take a toll on house bound teggies Im sure that they are not impacting native species outside. The ones in my garage depleted the teg saeva dramatically, but there are plenty of big housies if you look in ivy, guttering and the like a few metres from the house. Steatoda seem to happily co-exist with them as well.
