On a windy, but very sunny, warm day, there was a huge aggreggation of hoverflies on Creeping Willow within the protection of some Gorse bushes. There were probably a few thousand Syritta pipiens and well over a hundred of Sphaerophoria fatarum. Just about the most impressive gathering of hoverflies I have ever seen.
