Description:

Observed in open fields surrounded by small wood copse and a large river near by.This was in a sheltered valley in north eastern Scotland, about 4 miles inland from the coast and 1 mile from Brora Loch

Red deer

Is it an optical illusion or did the stag only have one antler, if so very unusual for such an animal to have a large harem as appears to be the case here. Also must be very uncomfortable!

It did only have one antler. There were another two females out of shoot as well.
