Description:

this bee had large orange 'deposit bags' attached to its legs. It was much smaller that a bumble bee, so I am guessing it's just a common bee? It seemed to prefer the yellow flowers, not the purple or any other colour.

bumblebee

The yellow stripes on the body indicate that this is a bumblebee - this is a worker bee hence the small size compared to the queens that have bee flying earlier in the year.

The orange deposits on the hind legs are where the bee has been collecting pollen to take back to the nest.
