Sheep’s Sorrel
Description:

Growing on top of the heath. Flower spikes 5cm tall. Flowers 1-2mm. Majority red, but some white. Leaves 7mm long and stalked. Leaves are arrow shaped – as shown in Rose (although the text describes them as hastate-shaped).
