Blimey...you don't make it easy! A small fly, out of focus, with wing glare.
Doubtless someone will have a go! ;)
My Flickr photos...
Been trying to get better macro pics but funds limited. Taken with Digital camera, manual settings, extension tube and 50mm lens, makes it hard. Need a 100mm lens but cost is exhorbitant.
I know...it is not easy and I was only having a laugh. Even with a decent enough macro lens, most of my photos end up like this. Hope you manage to save up for a lens at some point...second hand?
What equipment are you using? Any lens recommendation. I have Pentax K-x DGSLR.
Some photo assistance (none technical) would be good reading on this site for amateur naturalist photographers.
I use a Canon EOS 1000D with a Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG Macro. I think the lens was about £400-£500 and it is fine for me. I have to say, though, that a compact Canon Powershot G9 I used to have took better macro photos, I think. A lot of people with amazing macro photos of insects take them all with a compact camera set on Auto. Steven Falk's Flickr site is testament to that...
The Canon G9 bit the dust a while ago, but I am going to replace it with another compact when I win the lottery, as compacts are very useful to have stuffed in a pocket.
