Description:

I observed this bird in my garden, and noticed the black streaks on it's underbelly. I think I may have seen another too. There had been heavy rain earlier in the day and wasn't sure if it was to do with this or if there was something else.

Yes, just a normal Robin whose feathers are saturated and so the white feather tips have matted together, showing the darker feather base below.

You should edit and add the scientific name again, spelt...Erithacus rubecula.
