Bit of a challenge for you. OK so I forgot to change the metering to spot, I now have a lovely set of silhouettes. This image has been played with about as much as I can to bring out some detail.
This was the best opportunity too, despite them having arrived on the common in quite large numbers (11+ singing males) they proved singularly difficult to photograph.

Brave enough?

I want to agree but don't quite have the courage of my convictions!!

Feel free to look at my ongoing (hopefully improving) collection of pictures on Flickr:

I barely know the difference between common and lesser but I checked in my bird book and think the shape of the head looks more like a common and the underparts look a bit peachy. Also I'm in a reckless mood. Will be interesting to see what the experts think.
I have also found whitethroats easy to see impossible to photograph they jump around so much it is hard to get them in view and even when I do my camera refuses to focus on them.
