Not easy to see from photo as very distant. Black beak, very grey head and neck with black and white body.
No interactions present.
if you observed this in the field but from the photo here and the description I cannot easily agree with the identification. The photo has to much white on it for me to immediately say "diver" from it, but even taking that it is a diver as a given can you tell me how you eliminated other diver species?
Its beak shape suggested diver to us and its head was very grey with a darker throat. It was a long way away but we observered with binoculars for some time, watching it dive. It was on an inland fishing loch. I am open to other suggestions!
