Growing in shaded conditions on the woodland floor.
No interactions present.
Some books will tell you the leaves taste lemony but to me they taste more like a sharpish apple skin (Granny Smith maybe). Very nice though.
Also, the first time I really got to know this plant, about a year ago, the examples I found had a deep purple underside to the leaves but this year I've only seen completely green examples... does anyone have any thoughts on that?
