Found on the allotment near a wood chip path. The cap is around 12cm across.Any clues even to which family it belongs to? Thanks for looking.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Thanks DJ that looks a good suggestion as last autumn some mushrooms appeared in exactly the same spot which I also thought were Cavaliers.I could have been wrong though :-)

Is it fungi?

Hi this is growing in an old veg patch. No one seems to know what it is. When touched it lets off a fine powder puff.
