Found on the allotment near a wood chip path.The cap is around 12cm across.Any clues even to which family it belongs to? Thanks for looking.

Thanks DJ that looks a good suggestion as last autumn some mushrooms appeared in exactly the same spot which I also thought were Cavaliers.I could have been wrong though :-)
