Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa)
Description:

This probably arrived in the garden via a bird dropping. Stronger growth than the wild and barren versions so probably a garden escapee.

If you leave it until it fruits ...

... you'll either have some strawberries to eat, or you'll have discovered it to be Fragaria vesca.

The Fragaria vesca that has invaded my garden is quite robust (but doesn't fruit).

They say that Fragaria vesca fruits are tasty, but the one that invaded my allotment had pretty tasteless fruits - so after a couple of years I repelled the invasion.

Too late

Weeding started this afternoon and this was one of the earlier victims.
