Anemone spp

There are two similar Anemone spp. which escape - A. apennina and A. blanda. Both occur in a range of colours and both are commonly blue. There are various detailed differences, however the one I use in the field is to look at the undersides of the petals, near the base. A. apennina is sparsely hairy and A. blanda is glabrous.
