Pellia epiphylla

The BBS guide says of Pellia epiphylla "the surface lacks an angular network of cells visible on the surface of the thallus".

I think I can see such a network.

Liverwort trouble

Thanks, everyone. I'm struggling a bit with these common liverworts.

My money is now on Marchantia for this one, comparing it with an earlier sighting of mine.

My understanding was that Pellia doesn't have a cell network over its surface, based on this observation, though I've also got this one, which could also be a Pellia, but is colouration is completely different.

Any guidance gratefully received. Thanks
