We do have a few prarie dog

We do have a few prarie dog colonies here in UK but they are in zoos.
Is this a nature reserve for them as the surrounding areas look rather built up on the google map.

White-tailed prairie dogs

I love prairie dogs, they're so comical; but then I'm not a farmer on the American prairies.

If you look carefully you can see the dark smudge above and below the eye which identifies these as white-tailed prairie dogs as opposed to the black-tailed prairie dogs which are very similar. Also the "Mammals of North America" (Kays & Wilson 2nd Ed.) indicates the black-tailed prairie dogs do not quite reach as far west as this.
