Description:

Large purpleish-orange centipede found beneath brick on top of 1.5 metre high wall.

    'long-form' of Eason, 1964 (Geophilus carpophagus sensu stricto)

G.carpophagus sensu strictu ("long form")

The characteristic "carpophagous pits" that can be seen on the sternites clearly distinguish it from the sometimes a bit similar Henia vesuviana. (3rd picture)
