Fix an ID?

Hello,

I put an identification of Alternate-leaved Golden Saxifrage (Chrysosplenium alternifolium) up some time ago with little experience of plant identification.

Tim Rich then kindly suggested a correction as Opposite-leaved Golden Saxifrage (Chrysosplenium oppositifolium).

However, support for my identification (which i now believe to be incorrect) has continued.

I would appreciated it if people here could take a look and add agreement to 'the correct' identification. Judged on your own experience of course.

Chrysosplenium

I've had a look at your observation and gone through all my books but still can't come to a decision. It's difficult to see the arrangement of the leaves in a 2D photo. I've never seen C. alternifolium to the best of my knowledge, I'm going to be looking even more closely the next time I come across Golden Saxifrage!

I've only seen Chrysosplenium alternifolium once ...

... and only a single plant at that, but it's more distinctive in the field that you'd guess from the books.

I know...

This is one of many where i didn't take the right aspects of or enough of the plant! Thank you both for taking a look though!
