Even though it is in woodland the leaf bases in image two look a bit long for P. formosum and more like P. commune. In the absence of ripe capsules if you have a specimen check the leaf bases - if long and silvery then it is likely to be P. commune. Better yet if you have access to a microscope do a leaf lamella scrape - this gives unambiguous ID.
