Juvenile reed bunting?

Description:

Saw 3 possibly juvenile birds eating seeds. Size of a yellowhammer, very pale streaked front, streaky grey-brown head and lightish brown back with distinctive contrasting black and white tail.

It's worth remembering that at this time of year there are no juveniles about...passerines moult out of juvenile plumage (either wholly or all but a few feathers in the wing and tail) in the autumn after their birth. After that, they basically look like adults. So, these are not juvenile Reed Buntings. Twite is more difficult to rule out, but the right hand bird shows the grey head and brown mantle of a Linnet.
