Ant on wall

The weather conditions were similar to the previous observation – cool with cloud; ground temperature: 12-13 degrees. Perhaps these are conditions that are warm enough for a “scouting” ant to be active but not hot enough to evaporate colony odours that such an ant might be searching for. So, if I see a solitary wandering ant on a hot day …?
