Although the terminal tooth does appear minutely shorter, surely there are too many teeth per side for Potentilla sterilis? The leaf keys out to Fragaria vesca in Poland, having sessile terminal leaflet, plicate young leaves and at least 8 teeth per side. Confusing - I'll check later when the plants flower.
In my copy of Poland, the primary split is based on the terminal tooth, so all other characters are secondary.
