Rock vs Meadow

What ID features do you use to tell the difference? I realise habitat it a factor.

Rock vs Meadow

As you say habitat is a factor but the darker colour is what i would look for, also behaviour and call.

Rock

The bill is quite long, dark and often appears slightly upturned, the legs are usually dark and the underparts are never white, but usually rather dusky with smudgy streaks. All differentiate it from Meadow Pipit.
