Notes: I hope my interpretation of the photo is correct: I think those antennae have a scape and a simple clubbed tip, don't they? Thorax with punctures/sculturing at the front but not the back. The family includes several notorious pests including the vector of Dutch Elm Disease, but there are around 60 U.K. species, most harmless enough. Shooting from the hip I fancy a resemblence to Trypodendron e.g. domesticum, but Scolytes aren't suitable for guessing games.
