I am trying to convince myself that the pycnidia are a sort of red-brown because in all other respects this looks to me like C. coniocraea.
But I'm really tired. Maybe I should sleep on it.
I wonder if there's a slight colour variation with different monitors as they're definitely reddish rather than brown on mine .......
On my giant monitor at highest magnification, they are reddish brown, within the colour range of C. coniocraea, and not the bright red of C. polydactyla.
Even without pycnidia I would have been 100% certain that this is C. coniocraea.
