Black medick ...

... has leaves with rather truncate apices and a distinct mucron. I can't convince myself either of the latter's presence, or of its absence.

Ignoring the red coloration as an artifact of the recent unusual weather conditions, I still have the impression that the stems are too stiff/robust for black medick.

However I can't offer an alternative identification with any confidence. (Ononis crosses my mind, but it's not a plant I'm familiar with.)
