These are now saxicola rubicola, I believe, with the common name European stonechat to distinguish them from the African stonechat Saxicola torquatus. What I don't know is if the two species look different from each other.
Thanks Carole. Seems you are right about the name but ispot still have the old one as "recommended". I've not done enough research to confirm the reason for the change or what are the differences. Interestingly the BTO have updated the name but not its origin or at least they hadn't when I looked a few days ago.
