I'm tending to agree that our find is 'Glory of the Snow', rather than Spring Squill, because of location. but the other comparative images are far paler than my image.
Is Spring Squill sometimes planted in a mix of other bulbs?
... (Chionodoxa is sunk in Scilla in the latest edition of Stace) that turns up as a garden escape is Scilla siberica.
But this one seems to key out as Scilla (Chionodoxa) sardensis (lesser glory-of-the snow), but the details of flowers/inflorescences aren't clear enough for me to be sure.
The paler plant is Scilla (Chionodoxa) luciliae.
Some of the surrounding plants had pendent flowers and some erect, so perhaps we have more than one species; also some of the basal leaves had a curled appearance and some were straight.
Could you get more photographs? (Close ups of the flowers, and side views of the plants, inter alia.)
