Colt's-foot
Description:

It must be a good year for Colts-foot as in places you had to look where you were treading owing to the amount of flowers. Nice to see in our rather delayed spring, a welcome splash of colour.

withering

A little behind yours here Chris. I also notice that they are a little stunted this year - no rain for 10 days or so.
Some seem to be withering without opening - that must be unusual.
I will postapic in a minute (http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/320804).

Wetness

Hi Derek, by contrast (although it has been dry of late) the area where these colt's-foot were growing was flooded for several weeks in late February / early March and the ground is still very wet under foot.
