Thanks Chris. Always good to be kept informed. Not being strong on Latin, I generally get such information from guidebooks or places like the RSPB website(as in this case). Prompted by your advice, I have had a quick look and can now see the reasons for the distinctions.
According to Wikipedia they are now classified as Muscicapidae, not Turdidae - is that correct?
