The problem with all geraniums is that they are extremely promiscuous, so identifying any that are not absolutely characteristic can be all but impossible.

It certainly looks like the various clones of macrorhizum that are here in the garden - bruise the leaves and they should smell resinous.
This is a rarity in VC25 and was certainly a good way from any gardens
