Small hard crusted beetle plays dead when touched.
A third pair legs seem to be hidden in this pic, possibly broken or injured.

A comparison from U.K.

In U.K. O. sulcatus has a roughly cylindrical thorax, rather wider at the front; the surface of the pronutum is covered with round, low, regular glossy tubercles; it has dark elytra with small patches of brown scale-like pubescence and no erect setae; and it has very robustly swollen front femora. None of which are apparent in your specimen.
Sadly, I would have no idea where to begin with your fauna. I'd certainly be quite keen on having one of these eating my garden plants. Good luck.
