Also... observe the abdominal legs

I agree with nighfly.
Note also the unusual feature of two pairs of abdominal legs (plus anal clasper), where other British looper (Geometridae) caterpillars typically have one pair (plus anal claspers). I believe this is shared with the Barred Red, Hylaea fasciaria. Can anyone think of any other looper caterpillar with this feature?
