Under sterio microscope the stem leaves do as the British Bryological Soc field guide states have wide clinging leaves with out-turning elongated tip. There is a single nerve deeply set.The branch leaves are spear shaped rather than egg shaped. They are finely serrated. I have not been able to observe the tips end-on.
