Description:

I've seen Coprinopsis cordisporus and Parasola misera recently on dung but I don't think these are either. They are on cow dung and c2mm high in the first photo and the tallest in the second is 30mm.Last photo is a dorsal view of the opened cap - rather pretty I thought.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Could I record it as C.heptemerus or do the spores need checking? I can't find any references to spore size anywhere.

I would be happy with this

I would be happy with this find being recorded as C heptemerus without a spore sample.
