It just too difficult to discern the combs on these pics.
I'd like to agee - more close up Graham - must be lods around just now.
THREE MARINE PROJECTS
Two years on and I have 'come to my senses' Graham.
This cannot be anything else - the whole morphology screams Plocamium. Just because we cannot resolve the little combs clearly should not hold us off. Indeed, at full magnification it is even possible to imagine them.
Strangely, this is tagged as an Urban Coastal Plant - surely you see it as a Marine Alga, you being a scientist!
could be right Derek - I guess I tend to label where I find, so marina alga it is.
