Large Spider under boardwalk

Description:

Several spiders found under a wooden boardwalk. Boardwalk was being replaced. About 5 individual spiders, of varying sizes. 2 very large ones, about the size of a house spider. Engaged in a brief fight for a moment.
Large, black with some reddish markings on the body, slow moving.

Adult females are easy to tell apart

The determining structures are quite large, at least on meta menardi, though the spider has to be flipped over to examine the epigyne.

In contrast meta bourneti has a much wider, much thinner structure
