Can anyone give me an idea what this is. Found in woodland close to burn
No interactions present.
As it is a glutenous mass I have gone for Common Frog. Toad spawn is found in distinctive strings. As to how it got there, it could be human interference or predation, just two theories.

The jelly coating might have absorbed some frog blood on this occasion, the stuff in the main lump anyway- a reddish tinge? The stuff at the left periphery seems clean and clear.
