Chaffinch with diseased leg. What has caused this? Is it a fungus? Will it be infectios for other birds?
No interactions present.
A daily visitor. What is wrong with its leg?
Probably Fringilla papillomavirus which is common in Chaffinches. You should also add a revised ID with a Latin name to truly complete your ID. Just press get recommended after adding the common name.

Now I'm not an expert but I believe these kind of disease are often particularly infectious so it is important to keep any bird-feeders etc. as clean as you can - check out RSPB and BTO websites for more (and more accurate) information.
