Description:

Found on Oak branch in an area of this wood dominated by European Hornbeam and Hazel. Seen similar on other tree species. Can't get close enough for a more detailed pic. Whitish layer centre is frost or remains of snow.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

This could also be P.ferreus.

This could also be P.ferreus. Genus only is best bet.
