Common gum cistus / Gum rockrose (Cistus ladanifer) with sticky, aromatic leaves, flowering on maquis covered slopes of the Serra de Monchique overlooking the south coast, near Monchique, Algarve, Portugal, June.
Description:

4-5 foot tall cistus bushes with VERY sticky, pine scented leaves and crumpled white/yellow/purple flowers in dense stands in the Serra de Monchique overlooking the Algarve coast.
