Resting up behind hedge bank. Ive seen this female now for a few weeks in the same place and she never runs off far. Could she have a young one nearby at this time of year?

Deer young

The new adult I posted as "a buck in velvet" was born last early summer and spent the winter just past with his mother in one location. When I pictured him he was alone in the same place, and it was his mother that had moved off to rejoin the rest of the herd a couple of ks away. Your hind is probably anxious to rejoin a herd now, any young will now be becoming adults.
