Description:

Temperature only 7 or 8C and a light onshore (Easterly) breeze but plenty of hazy sunshine - enough to bring the first sighting of the year at Black Head.

Well done Philip,

Thats an early one alright. I have a feeling one or two might have sampled the sunshine round here also but they didnt let me see them- and I had a look. Very nice, great to see it!

I was a little bit surprised ...

... as it was pretty chilly but, at the same time, I did make a deliberate effort to look in the likely basking spots!

Only 3 or 4C today

... but there was a lizard out, in approximately the same position. Similar markings, so it could have been the same one. Hopefully it was under cover when it started snowing 15 mins later.
