Description:

Growing in sand dunes. 10mm high 7mm across. There was a similar specimen nearby which looked more spherical/berry shaped. Unfortunately I did not photograph that.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Exquisite and a good picture sequence. I don't think there's much doubt but they have dried out, losing their balls (scuse me!)

Thanks. My first thought was a fungus of some sort but I "talked myself out of it! I've moved it to "Fungi and Lichens" now.
