bee traffic

have often noticed bee traffic from bee hives very early in year, particularly in mild spells.
They of course store food and also create their own heating and ventilation systems in the hive,so are not entirely weather dependant

Hives

I had a colony of bees in my chimney (disused) last year - I wonder if it's them waking up? I'm not aware of any hives close to my house.

probably

feral honey bee nests in chimneys last for many years.
They may even derive some heat from the house, allowing an even earlier start
