Notes: The 2nd grouse dropping found on moorland today, this one had several fresh clean looking feathers beside it, only one feather at the first. Could this amount of feathers indicate mating had taken place? There arent usually this amount of feathers by a dropping. Cant say for sure this is the subspecies 'hibernicus' because 'scoticus' has been introduced to Ireland in the past and in this area too as far as I know.
