Common frog (Rana temporaria)
Description:

A pretty sleepy character disturbed while clearing an old pile of logs. There's no pond nearby so unless he can scale 6' walls I don't know where he will go to breed. In spite of the lack of pond there are usually a few frogs in the garden.

Is there a possible route

Is there a possible route into and out of your garden under the wall or around it? If you regularly find frogs they must be coming from somewhere (assuming your six foot walls were not built relatively recently and you are just seeing a few frogs that were thereby imprisoned).

Route

Yes, out the front gate about 70m away. How far do frogs travel? And how far from water.
