... I would have expected to see at least some of the inflated flower heads, in a stand such as that photographed.
I actually wondered if it could be Alsike clover, which does have that same pink-at-the-bottom colouration. But I can't see enough detail of the leaves or the stipules or the general growth habit to make a call.
