Darkling beetle (Erodius tibialis) walking over coastal sand dune, Sagres, Algarve, Portugal, June.
Description:

12mm rounded, smooth darkling beetle, one of many seen in coastal dunes near Sagres, portugal. Looks like an Erodius and I think the lack of strong ridges on the elytra makes this E tibialis not goryi or carinatus.
