Description:

Disused Phryganea caddis larva case found yesterday, 3 March 13. Pic added for size comparison. The smaller one is likely to be Agrypnia obsoleta considering its size and the location- an upland lake where obsoleta has been recorded. A. varia has been recorded at a lake close by but 400 feet lower and with an alkaline pH. Varia would probably require a larger case than this 2cm one?
